Walt Disney World Is Waiting!

Looking to add a little magic to your next family trip? No need to travel around the world, just pack your bags and a smile as we prepare to visit America’s Favorite Mouse and his friends at the most magical place on Earth! With four theme parks, two water parks, and tons of shopping, dining, and entertainment options… Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida is the perfect destination for the entire family.

While we could spend hours talking about all the individual parks found in the Walt Disney World Resort, let’s touch a little on two of our favorites!

For young children, and the young-at-heart, Magic Kingdom is a MUST SEE! As soon as you walk down Main Street USA, you are greeted with the smell of sweet treats from the bakeries and confectionaries that line the street… and it just makes you feel like you are home! From Cinderella’s Castle, in the middle of Magic Kingdom, you can split off to explore various “lands.”

  • Fight the Evil Emperor Zurg with Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland…
  • Embark on a “swashbuckling” pirate adventure in Adventureland…
  • Experience a happy haunting at the Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square…
  • And meet and greet your favorite characters and Princesses in Fantasyland!

Magic Kingdom is sure to be a treat for the entire family!

You’re probably saying to yourself, “Wait… it’s Disney World. Where are my rides?! Where are my shows?” Don’t worry, they are still here but BETTER! If you are traveling with older children, or are just looking for more of a “grown-up” getaway, Epcot is our go-to park!

Their World Showcase gives you a chance to travel around the globe and enjoy all the sights, sounds, and sips from some of your favorite far-away places. The authentic food and drinks instantly transport you to each “country” and are the perfect way to get your international travel-fix without ever needing your passport!

Speaking of far-away places, Epcot is also filled with incredible rides and attractions that take you under the sea and through both time and space! Whether you’re looking for a relaxing day at the park or a little excitement, Epcot is the perfect culmination of both!

As we mentioned, these are just two of the parks you can visit at Walt Disney World Resort. For more information on Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, click here to view our Wild About Disney blog!

We understand that traveling during this unprecedented time can feel daunting, but we are amazed by the health measures that the Walt Disney World Resort is putting into place to ensure the safety of its staff and guests! Not only are temperature screenings needed to gain entry to the parks and shopping areas, but they do also require all guests to have face coverings and have modified some of the live shows and Character Experiences to follow social-distancing guidelines.

They have also placed sanitizer stations, plexiglass dividers, and social-distancing markers throughout many of the queues and have implemented “enhanced cleaning and housekeeping modifications” throughout the entire resort. You can click here to view the updates and policies they have incorporated to help you feel safe while creating new memories with your loved ones!

If rides and characters aren’t really your thing, there is so much to do outside of the parks – like Disney Springs! While it still gives you Disney-themed stores and merchandise, it is also filled with upscale restaurants, name-brand stores, and live entertainment that’s sure to keep everyone happy! This is the perfect place to spend a day of leisurely shopping with the whole family or visit for late-night dinner, drinks, and music with good friends!
