Thrills, Chills, & Fun at Universal Orlando!

Web-slinging superheroes, dino-encounters, the Wizarding World, and your favorite childhood characters and movies… Universal Orlando has it all! With three parks, an entire “city” of exciting shopping, dining, and entertainment options all within a few steps of each other, and must-experience seasonal events, Universal Orlando is a year-round hot-spot for fun!

Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure bring all your favorite characters and movies to life with immersive environments, themed dining experiences, and breathtaking (and sometimes scream-inducing) rides! When you step into Universal Studios, you’re greeted by familiar faces, like the Despicable Me Minion’s and Shrek and his swamp pals, and the towering drop of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rock-it Coaster… but as you keep exploring, you’ll feel like you’re on the backlot of some of Universal’s best movies like Fast and Furious, The Mummy, Men in Black, Transformers, and more!

Islands of Adventure is where the “adventure lives on.” This sister-park to Universal Orlando also does a spectacular job at throwing you into the action and whimsy of your favorite worlds, like Marvel Superhero Island, Jurassic Park, and Suess Landing!

  • If you’re a thrill-seeker, you can “Hulk” your way through zero-gravity spins and drops, come face-to-face with a live Raptor, and splash your way down a 75-foot drop with Dudley Do-right himself!
  • For those who volunteer to hold the bags and avoid the adrenaline rush, there are tons of options for you too! Shop for fossils and souvenirs at the Jurassic Park Discovery Center, walk through the Temple of Poseiden and witness an incredible showdown of good versus evil, or meet your favorite hat-wearing cat as you ride through a classic Suess story!

Our favorite part of both parks, though, is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you start in Universal Studios, travel to London and step through the enchanted wall and right into Diagon Alley. The painstaking detail put into this part of the park is insane! Once you make your thrilling Escape from Gringotts, you can grab a butterbeer and buy your very own wand from Olivander’s to practice your spellcasting at spots around the town!

With the two-park pass, you can then take the Hogwarts Express for an enchanted ride over to Islands of Adventure to see the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! While there, you’ll be able to…

  • Go on a heart-pumping journey through the school with Harry Potter and his friends to fight a battle against he-who-must-not-be-named…
  • Join Hagrid for a thrilling ride to see some of the mystical creatures that inhabit the Forbidden Forest…
  • And take your smaller children for a family-friendly ride on the back of a Hippogriff!

Afterward, you’ll surely have worked up an appetite so don’t forget to stop by The Three Broomsticks for some fish and chips or stop by Honeydukes to stock up on some magically sweet treats!

Once the sun goes down, the fun doesn’t have to stop! Stay in the park and check out the light show on the Hogwarts School or meet up with your friends at City Walk for drinks and dinner at one of the many eateries at CityWalk.

If you’re looking to carry the thrills long into the night, we also recommend checking out Universal’s seasonal event, Halloween Horror Nights. Universal’s storytelling abilities translate into one chilling event as they craft spine-tingling encounters and curate scare-houses that put you right in the middle of horror legends and cult classics!
